Father, it impresses me that you are the Father from
which all families get their name. (modified) Ephesians 3:14-21 According to
this very reason and cause for our calling, I submit my entire self by bowing
at the knee to the eternal Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Creator and
Sustainer of the spiritual and physical universe of whom all fatherhood
expressed in tribes and families and cultures in the heavens and on earth is
named and identified,
that He would grant all of our men,
families, cultures, and like-hearted groups that expose the variety of His
nature divinely in a normal world
Strength That Overcomes
according to the riches of His glory,
that treasure-house of inheritance of which is His and Christ's at once,
- to be infused with strength, exuberant and life-filling with
nothing holding back,
- to be infused with strength that fortifies, invigorates, and
braces with dynamic power,
- to be infused with strength mightily by His Spirit in the most
inward parts,
The Presence of God That Energizes
that the Anointed One may take up permanent residence and
continually dwell in our hearts by faith;
Compassion That Motivates
that all of us being rooted deeply and broadly and set on an
extensively firm foundation for our temples in love,
- may be capable of fully attaining and grasping mentally with
all the saints, all expressions of His body, His love
- may be capable of fully attaining and grasping mentally what
is the breadth, and length and depth and height and every possible dimension
of His love
- and to know in experience and real living knowledge useful for
daily situations, the love of the Anointed One, which takes excelling
knowledge beyond the norm that we might be filled to overflowing with all the
fullness of God.
Faith That Appropriates
Now, unto Him that is able and positioned to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think according to that self-same power
that works in us and charges us up with energy from His involvement even like
the energy that raised the Anointed One from the dead, this power that is
both actively and effectively working in us, unto Him be glory in the called
out saints of every fatherhood, family, tribe, grouping, and culture
throughout all ages and generations now
